Step-3: Bake the chicken

Maintain 400-degree temperature in the oven then allow the chicken to bake. If you are reheating chicken, then 14 to 18 minutes are enough for complete baking. Take the thing in mind that the thighs and legs require less time to bake, so pay attention while baking it and leave them after 8 to 12 minutes.

How to Reheat Fried Chicken – #2. Re-frying Method

Step-1: Maintain room temperature

Before you try to cook chicken again, you need to let the chicken at room temperature. Many professional chefs recommend allowing the pre-fried chicken to sit for about half an hour before cooking. When you drop the chicken into the hot oil, generally the oil temperature gets decreased. To prevent such temperature decreasing put the chicken in the pan.

Step-2: Heat oil

You can use canola, peanut or vegetable oil to fry or reheat the chicken. Take enough amount of oil that the chicken pieces to become submerged in the vegetable oil. Deep fry the chicken pieces that will help to get the crispy re-fried chicken.

Step-3: Re-fry chicken

Now, it is the right time to put chicken pieces into the hot oil. Use the right tongs that can prevent the oil or chicken pieces to splash. Add few pieces in the hot oil to avoid over the crowding in the pan. Though, it takes a few minutes more but provides perfect baked pieces. Fry each piece about 2 to 3 minutes. Do not forget to turn pieces regularly to avoid burning.

Step-4: Drain oil

Use a wire rack to drain off oil from the chicken. If you have special pan where you can directly place the wire, then it is best for reheating chicken. If that special pan is not available then put the wire rack on the baking sheet which makes easy the draining oil from the chicken. It takes about 5 to 8 minutes to drain off oil.
